The Cutest Easter Basket Projects

The Cutest Easter Basket Projects

You don't have to celebrate Easter to find these projects enticing. Spring is coming though, and I thought it would be fun to share some ideas for some seasonal projects. -- Sunni

Bunny hat

I think this Bunny Hat is super cute but also simple to make. It comes in sizes from 6 months to 6-8 years. I’m recommending either Vintage from Berroco or the new cotton/wool blend Turay from Amano for it. You could make it in any color and we have lots to choose from. One skein of yarn is plenty for all but the largest size.

Bunny Love

The Bunny Love pattern by Susan B. Anderson has long been a favorite in our shop. It’s such a cute stuffed bunny and we love his little sweater and bunch of carrots. I hadn’t made many knitted stuffed animals before I made the sample for our shop and this one kind of got me hooked. It was so fun to make. We recommend Berroco Lanas for this project.

tiny baby bunnies

I made these Tiny Baby Bunnies from Mochimochi Land for my kids’ Easter baskets when they were younger. They are so quick and fun to make and so cute! My kids loved them. They’re a great way to use up leftover fingering weight yarn. And the pattern is free on Ravelry!

Two hands each holding a tiny Bunnybee toy.

Anna Hrachovec of Mochimochi Land has added another pattern that is a variation of the original pattern called Bunnybee. The addition of wings and a stinger transform the Bunny to a Bunnybee! This pattern is available on Ravelry.

Mother Bunny by Wendy Phillips

The Mother Bunny pattern by Wendy Phillips is a bit more complicated than the other patterns I’ve included here but she is so incredibly adorable that I wanted to include her. The pattern calls for DK weight yarn, so I would recommend either Vintage from Berroco again or Ciao from Jody Long. The pattern is only $4.50 on Ravelry.

Bunny Amigurumi

If you’re a crocheter, this Bunny Amigurumi by The Bunny Studio is irresistible. The pattern calls for DK weight yarn and a size E crochet hook. We have the perfect colors in Ciao from Jody Long for this project. The pattern is free on Ravelry.
